Appointments
Postdoctoral Researcher
Division of Information Coding, Dept. of Electrical Engineering, Linköping University · Linköping · September 2020 – present
Working on long-distance deployed quantum communication, certification of commercial quantum key distribution systems, and high-dimensional photonic states.
Ph.D. Student in Electrical Engineering (Information Coding)
Division of Information Coding, Dept. of Electrical Engineering, Linköping University · Linköping · September 2020 – September 2025
Researching novel techniques for measurement-device-independent quantum random number generation, with a focus on generators that can be certified to generate private randomness.
Master’s Thesis Project
Division of Information Coding, Dept. of Electrical Engineering, Linköping University · Linköping · January 2020 – June 2020
Investigated methods for active phase compensation using FPGAs in a single-mode fiber Mach–Zehnder interferometer for quantum information / quantum key distribution experiments. Using feedback control, I showed phase stability can be achieved over spatially multiplexed (linear polarisation modes) fibers as well.
Garage Intern
Ericsson · Linköping · April 2018 – January 2020
Developer and team leader in Ericsson’s innovation incubator programme, working with early phase IoT projects. Tasks included development, sprint planning, product planning, customer contact, and stakeholder communication. I also supervised summer interns.
Software Testing Intern
SensMaster Sdn/Bhd · Kota Damansara, Malaysia · October 2013 – November 2013
Participated in development of acceptance testing software for RFID equipment used for high-value asset tracking.
Education
Ph.D. Student in Electrical Engineering (Information Coding)
Linköping University · September 2020 – September 2025
Doctoral studies with courses in electrical engineering, quantum information, and research methodology.
Supervisors: Assoc. Prof. Guilherme B. Xavier, Prof. Jan-Åke Larsson
Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering (Civilingenjör)
Linköping University · August 2014 – June 2020
Master’s profile in Secure Systems, including Computer Security, Information Security and Cryptology. Broad background in software engineering/testing and hardware engineering (analogue/digital electronics, signals and systems, computer architecture, automatic control). Extensive project work applying theory in practice.
Technical Programme
ABB Industrial High School · August 2011 – May 2014
Technical design coursework including mechatronics, CAD, PCB design and manufacturing, and digital electronics.
